The Rookie's proposed spin-off based around new character Simone Clark (Niecy Nash) has just added Felix Solis (Ozark) and Kat Foster ('Til Death) to the cast.
Solis and Foster will join Nash and the rest of the cast for a two-episode backdoor pilot in The Rookie, which is currently airing its fourth season.
Solis will guest star as Special Agent Matthew Garza, an FBI veteran of 20 years who has stood by the ethos of the 'Agency way' his whole career. As a senior agent he is about to be promoted to a leadership role – he plays the role of a tough, smart, sometimes self-important character.

His co-star Foster will join as Special Agent Casey Fox. Unlike Matthew Garza, Fox has only been on the job five years – but has proven her sharp intelligence and ability to work in a team. She's a training agent who wants to embed conformity among her trainees. But she knows how to find her way onto the best assignments.
Both of them will slot in alongside Simone Clark – the oldest rookie in the academy. After one of Simone's former students is suspected of terrorism after a power plant explosion, Simone is brought on board the case by John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the FBI.

The Rookie airs on ABC in the US, and airs on Sky Witness in the UK. It can also be streamed on NOW.
