Star Wars: The Mandalorian reveals what one key character originally looked like

Star Wars: The Mandalorian boss Jon Favreau has teased an original concept design for one of the show's key characters.

Pedro Pascal's titular gun-for-hire discovered a green creature – who viewers have nicknamed 'Baby Yoda' – in the new Disney+ series, and Favreau uploaded the art onto his Twitter account yesterday (November 19) for fans to enjoy.

"Original concept art. #TheMandalorian," he captioned the image, which shows the little guy with an adorable glint in his eye.

The filmmaker's followers have since poured into the comment section, as one user responded enthusiastically: "HIS LITTLE FOOT" followed by crying and heart emojis.

"There is no choice. I can't understand how in the galaxy I have fallen in love with Baby Yoda so quickly, so completely," another wrote. "The ears, the little hands, I cannot."

Meanwhile, episode 2 of The Mandalorian dramatically confirmed that this fresh-faced Yoda was already Force-sensitive, as the tiny creature saved the main character's life.

And Greef Carga star Carl Weathers has even hinted that 'Baby Yoda' might not be *the* Yoda after all, and there could be more to the character. All is to be revealed...
