Umbrella Academy star David Castañeda has suggested big things could be happening with his character Diego if a second season gets the go ahead.
Adapted from Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's comic book series of the same name, the Netflix show is now waiting to be renewed after premiering last month.
Castañeda's character, also known as Number Two and The Kraken, has had to deal with losing Eudora Patch (Ashley Madekwe) and Grace Hargreeves (Jordan Claire Robbins) in the first season, and the star thinks this will play a large part going forwards.
"One of the best things about the show is how the characters arc, and it takes time to see people grow out of the traumas that they have," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
"I'd like to see where Diego goes. He's able to cope with a lot more things, but now he lost his mom, he lost Patch. He could either go completely insane off of it or he might just be a kid."

Castañeda previously discussed with Digital Spy about why Diego's ability to hold his breath underwater in the comics was not adapted for the show.
"[Showrunner Steve Blackman] wanted to ground the comic book even more," he explained. "So for example, Klaus doesn't levitate in the show, whereas in the comic book he does.
"And there's something about seeing someone who has actually no real supernatural powers and only being able to throw things with precision that kind of makes people be like, 'Oh, I can see that. I can put that person in real life and I can see it play out as a human being'."
Blackman has said in the past that he would be keen to have "four or five" seasons of the show.
The Umbrella Academy season one is available now on Netflix.
