After 15 seasons, Criminal Minds is coming to an end. You can expect a show that has lasted as long as this one isn't going to go out quietly, which may not be good news for our protagonists.
AJ Cook, who plays Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau in the CBS crime drama, has been speaking to TVLine about what fans might expect from its final run (which films soon, FYI).
"I can't give anything away," she said. "But you're going to look back on that question after you see the finale and you're going to laugh. We have some big stuff coming up."
When asked if all the main characters will survive the final season, especially since it's been a while since a major cast member snuffed it, she replied: "I hope and pray. I really hope so.
"I know something bad is going to happen, I do know that. But this is our family, and we want to see everyone come out the other side. We've been playing these characters for so long, and it's been a great honour to play JJ."
It doesn't look like it's going to be an easy ride, as Cook teases a "worthy adversary" who is both the "most prolific serial killer on Criminal Minds", and a "slippery bastard".
