The Fast Show celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, with BBC Two airing its 2011 'Fosters Funny' series on TV for the first time tonight (May 23).
There are so many classic moments and characters from the 1990s comedy - from Bob Fleming to the 'Brilliant' kid to Ed Winchester - but we have chosen just five of our personal favourites.
1. Johnny Nice Painter and the chasm of clams
The Fast Show had the amazing ability of repeating gags without it ever getting obvious or boring. Every time Johnny Nice Painter appeared on screen, you knew at some point he would hear the word 'black' and go off the rails, but each time was more hilarious than the last.
This one was particularly excellent, complete with the chasm of clams, eyes made out pies and pier landings.
2. Ted & Ralph play an awkward word game
What to Read Next
Country squire Ralph and estate worker Ted arguably provided a constant heart to the series, making it strangely more than just a sketch show at times. While hilarious, there were some rather moving moments of love and longing between the unlikely duo.
Here we see a perfect blend of heartbreak and hilarity when Ralph is forced into a word game with Ted and his mates, leading to some rather awkward and awful news.
3. The Rambling Hiker is warned of owls
Mark Williams at his finest here, as Paul Whitehouse's rambling hiker asks a seemingly normal bloke for some water.
Pure craziness ensues as the man proceeds to rant and rave about the fog, and falling in a hole with an OWL! The hiker eventually gets his revenge by finding a horn that momentarily stops the man in his tracks.
4. Louis Balfour loses his cool
The laid-back Bob Harris-style presenter finally can't hack the pretension in this episode of Jazz Club.
A scat singer proves too much for Louis, and he won't sit down, shut up and get on with the performance. The line "relax, pay your income tax" is also a forgotten gem.
5. Rowley Birkin QC remembers a lost love
One of the genuinely moving moments of The Fast Show, in which the 'very, very drunk' Rowley Birkin QC tells the story of an old flame.
However, this time we are not treated to silly noises and random phrases, but rather a sombre and mellow catchphrase for a change. Tears.
These are just some of The Fast Show's best moments, but what are yours? Let us know in the comments box below.
The Fast Show Special airs tonight at 10pm on BBC Two.
