Zara McDermott has responded to a TV programme that featured herself and Sam Thompson that aired over the weekend, following reports that their relationship has come to an end.
It's been reported that the pair recently split and spent Christmas and New Year apart. However, a pre-recorded segment featuring Sam and Zara aired on Michael McIntyre's Big Show on BBC One last Saturday night (January 20).
The recurring Midnight Gameshow feature sees McIntyre bursting into someone's bedroom and getting them to play impromptu games, with surprise celebrity cameos adding to the chaos.
If ever you've seen the video of Bradley Walsh in bed finally meeting skier Fanny Chmelar, the subject of one of The Chase's best-known moments, it's from this section of the show.

In her Instagram Stories, Zara tagged the show but didn't tag Sam, along with a photo of the show on her TV.

She captioned the post "We literally thought we were being burgled" and added some laughing emoji.
In Sam and Zara's Midnight Gameshow segment, she had to actually open the bedroom door to let Michael and the crew in, as it was initially locked.
"I thought we were being burgled!" Sam exclaimed, giving Michael a hug as he greeted them.
Sam and Zara's Midnight Gameshow appearance also featured a reunion with Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli, who didn't know how much a pint of milk cost.
At the end of Mark-Francis' appearance segment, Sam – who had earlier stated that he felt unwell – asked if he could be excused, telling Michael: "Do you mind if I go and get my Gaviscon?"
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins' Jason Fox also made an appearance, (jokingly) asking Sam if he loved Zara, after he took a while to name three presents she had gotten him (he was holding heavy cartons full of water and was being shouted at at the time).
While neither Sam nor Zara has directly commented on reports of their split, Sam recently addressed being in a relationship while in the public eye, stating that he understands why the public wants to know about it.
"I don't know if they have the right [to know], but I understand why people think they do have the right to know what's going on because you live your life in the public eye," he said on his Staying Relevant podcast with Pete Wicks, adding: "You gotta be respectful of other parties."
Sam added that it had been "a real tough month" and that he'd struggled with the presence of photographers outside his home, saying: "I've never had paps and stuff because I'm so boring. I've never really had to deal with it."
