Maya Jama has addressed rumours that she could be leaving Love Island, confirming they are not true.
Following recent reports that she could be stepping down as host of the ITV2 series, the star has set the record straight in her Instagram Stories.
"I will be hosting Love Island next year and have no plans to leave right now," Maya wrote (via The Standard). "Filmed the promo a couple of days ago actually. Fake news is fake news-ing as usual."

"I am so happy right now, but the next person I meet I want to marry and have kids with, so obviously I’m feeling fussy," she told The Standard. "I’ve created such a nice life for myself alone, and I don’t want anyone who’s not going to add to that.

"I’m in this lovely bubble, and I don’t want you unless you make me happy. If you’re not, I kind of don’t need you," Maya continued. "One thing I’ve learned: Some people are like, 'I’m lonely, I need someone.' But the mission in life is to make yourself happy, then find someone who brings something that matches that to the table."
Revealing their break up back in July, Maya and Stormzy shared a joint statement in which they said they will "always be friends".
Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
