Too Hot to Handle season 2 spoilers follow – including the finale.

Too Hot to Handle's Marvin Anthony and Melinda Berry went on what many reality TV folk like to refer to as 'a journey' during their time at Lana's no-sex resort.

Rocking up in their finest swimwear for a fun-filled summer in the sun, Melinda and Marvin hit it off right from the moment they met. At the very start, they didn't know exactly what show they had signed up for – something which almost pushed Melinda to head home – but after that shock revelation was out of the way, Melinda and Marvin were responsible for one of the first rule-break money losses after sharing a cheeky kiss.

But Marvin seemed to be keeping his options open, getting to know other girls in the apartment too, while Melinda decided to partake in a three-way snog with Peter and Carly. From there, Marvin and Melinda started to drift.

It wasn't until new boys arrived, and Marvin really felt the possibility of losing Melinda to someone else, that he started to gravitate back towards her and shed some of his playboy-style ways.

They cemented their reunion by putting a pretty hefty dent in the prize fund, losing $20,000 on a night under the sheets together (much to the disappointment of the rest of the group!).

From there though, Marvin and Melinda seemed to go from strength to strength with each of them opening up to each other about how they were feeling. After a number of deep and meaningfuls, Marvin seized the opportunity on a romantic boat date to ask Melinda to be his girlfriend.

By the finale, the couple were super loved-up and discussing the potential to meet Marvin's family. But with Marvin living in Paris and Melinda all the way in New York, how was it going to work after the show? ARE THEY STILL TOGETHER?!

The answer to that question wasn't immediately obvious after the show, as neither Marvin or Melinda have given much away on social media. This was probably down to not wanting to spoil the outcome of the show for viewers before they have had a chance to watch to the end (Too Hot to Handle's Cam and Emily did the exact same thing).

When season two of the show originally launched, we noticed that she and Marvin were following each other on Instagram. Marvin had also been leaving cheeky comments on Melinda's photos (and she had been returning the favour, FYI).

After sharing her official Too Hot to Handle VT on her own page, Marvin was one of the first to leave a comment writing "Sheeeeeesh. Queen," to which she replied with some heart-eye emojis. In a more recent swimsuit shot, Marvin commented "wooo" alongside a flame emoji – a comment that Melinda pinned. Interesting.

But before we get our hopes up too much, it's also worth noting that other cast members – including Peter and Carly – had also been leaving similar messages, which Melinda was responding to in the same way.

Most recently, Melinda commented on this photo of Marvin with the hot/sweat face emoji:

The final batch of episodes (which included the finale, and crowned a singular winner of the remaining prize fund) dropped on Netflix on June 30.

Fast-forward almost a week (July 5) and Melinda and Marvin have finally let us know what happened after the show – spoiler alert, it's not great news for those willing them to be together.

Taking on the official Too Hot to Handle companion show Extra Hot, which is available on Netflix's YouTube channel, the pair have revealed that they are not in a relationship right now.

Melinda explained that they had booked a trip to Mexico to reunite, but that she and Marvin had got into an argument right before it was supposed to happen.

"He decided to cancel," Melinda said, as a result of this row.

"The day that he was supposed to come, I was trying to text him, he was ignoring my texts, I was texting Chase, [he was] ignoring me too. I was left in the dark. I was pissed."

Melinda then added that Marvin had gone to Mexico a month later.

"I went with Chase," Marvin confirmed.

So is there any hope for these two now?

"For a long time we didn't talk or anything," Marvin said. "But now we're talking and on good terms. I don't know what's going to happen, but we will see."

"His favourite line," Melinda said. "'We will see'."

"I do miss her a lot," Marvin conceded.

"I still, and will always have, love for Marvin," Melinda added. "That's undeniable. I'm still attracted to him, I still have love for him."

Maybe the door hasn't quite closed just yet then...
