Moffat was speaking to Digital Spy at last night's House of Fraser BAFTA TV Awards Nominees party.
The sci-fi smash's head writer spilled secrets of a "thrilling" series 9, promising a "quite stunning" performance from a returning Peter Capaldi.
Moffat also talks "changing the rhythm" of Doctor Who this series and how Missy (Michelle Gomez) fits into the two-part premiere.
Doctor Who will return to BBC One this autumn.
