The world can finally get some sleep now that Radio 1 breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw has revealed the exact reason he went platinum blonde. In all seriousness, we were actually intrigued.
Appearing on tonight's Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Grimshaw said this: "I did it because I went to see my friend who was in the hairdresser and she was having her hair bleached and I asked how long she was going to be and she said, 'Five hours'.
"The hairdresser was like, "You might as well have yours done", so I was like, "alright". That's why we did it."
Whilst the popular presenter has managed to make platinum look good for the men of the world, it's not easy work maintaining his new look.
"Now I have bleach blonde hair that is dry as anything and is a nightmare," the former X Factor judge explained. "And I never realised it hurts when they put bleach on your head."
Poor thing.
Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams also appears on tonight's episode, airing at the slightly later-than-usual time of 11.05pm on Channel 4, and talks about having to lie about Jon Snow.
