A UK spin-off for Saturday Night Live has been confirmed.
In a new deal with Sky, NBC's iconic late-night comedy showcase comes to the UK and Ireland for 2026, with a star-studded lineup of hosts and musical guests to be announced.
SNL creator Lorne Michaels will executive produce the show alongside Broadway Video and Universal Television Alternative Studio.
A press release from Sky confirms that SNL UK will follow the same "live, fast-paced style" of its American counterpart, with a cast of "the funniest British comedians around".
Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer, said in a statement: "For over 50 years Saturday Night Live has held a unique position in TV and in our collective culture, reflecting and creating the global conversation all under the masterful comedic guidance of Lorne Michaels.

SNL premiered in 1975, with the show including various comedy sketches, musical performances, and a special celebrity guest each episode.
It has launched the careers of numerous stars, including Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Bill Murray, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and many more.
Throughout its five decades on air, SNL has won 84 Primetime Emmy Awards, six Writers Guild of America Awards, and three Peabody Awards.

It has received more than 305 Emmy nominations, making SNL the snow to receive the most of any TV programme.
It was recently the subject of Jason Reitman film Saturday Night, which tells the story of SNL's premiere.
Gabriel LaBelle stars as Michaels in a cast rounded out by Rachel Sennott, Cory Michael Smith, Ella Hunt, Dylan O'Brien, Emily Fairn, Lamorne Morris, Finn Wolfhard, Kaia Gerber, Willem Dafoe, and more.
Saturday Night received overwhelmingly positive reviews, earning LaBelle a Golden Globes nod for Best Actor.
Saturday Night Live UK comes to Sky Max and NOW in 2026.
