Will Ferrell made a winning return on last night's (December 12) Saturday Night Live.

In his famous George Bush persona, Ferrell announced Bush's intention to enter the race for the Presidency. "The field of Republicans is so messed up, I figure it makes you miss me, doesn't it?" he joked.

"I've already got my campaign song. Ready or not, here I come, you can't hide. I'm going to find you and make you love me."

'Bush' also ran the rule over the candidates, saving the best for "knucklehead" Donald Trump and "poor" Jeb Bush.

Breaking into laughter as an image of Trump appeared, Ferrell noted: "I'll tell you something. When I get in a bad mood, I just picture his big fat orange Oompa Loompa face and I just piss my pants."

As for Jeb: "You've got to admit, it's a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one."

'Bush' concluded that the presidency is like driving a school bus, saying you want "someone with a steady hand who will be on time and get into one or two but no more than four accidents a year".

"You already know that someone, and that someone is me," he added.

Next week's Saturday Night Live Christmas show will see former cast members Tina Fey and Amy Poehler return to host, and will feature Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as musical guests.
