Ted Lasso star Juno Temple has been announced for The Husbands, a new UK relationship drama with a twisty premise.

The eight-part drama comes from lead writer Miriam Battye, the executive story editor of Succession, and lead director Craig Gillespie, the director of Cruella, and it will be available on Apple TV+.

Based on the book from author and game designer Holly Gramazio, Temple's character Lauren returns home to find a stranger there, convinced that he's her husband.

As Lauren tries to work out what's going on, supposed husband Michael goes upstairs to the attic to do some DIY and then completely blinks out of existence, replaced by a new husband.

Soon, it becomes clear that the lightbulb in her attic has the power to create an infinite supply of new husbands. One thing that will take Lauren longer to figure out is, how will this make her a better person?

Another Apple TV+ project that was just announced was the fourth season of Ted Lasso, something that the team involved had sworn was never going to happen.

Deadline, which broke the news of The Husbands being greenlit, explained that due to both projects being Apple TV+ originals, schedules were able to be organised for Temple to film both shows.

Although things were reportedly not easy, and Temple hasn't officially closed the deal to play Keeley again in Ted Lasso season 4, plans are in place for Ted Lasso to film in the summer, with The Husbands set to film in late autumn.

When production begins, it will happen in the UK.

Ted Lasso season 1-3 are available to stream on Apple TV+. Season 4 and The Husbands will be coming to the service too, but do not have release windows yet.
