The Crown's Lesley Manville and Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein are teaming up for a brand new romantic comedy series from Prime Video. The show, titled Escorted, follows a divorced dad living in Manhattan who accidentally falls into escorting.

Goldstein will play the main character, while Manville will play his mum Terri in a series regular role.

Via Variety, her character description reads: "A charisma bomb cabaret legend, Terri is a force of nature with the voice to match."

The logline for the show itself teases that it will be about: "Sexual dynamics, keeping secrets, and whether real intimacy can ever be bought."

Goldstein is a pretty busy guy right now, as his new film Office Romance has proven to be a hit, topping the worldwide Netflix movie chart.

The film stars Goldstein as a corporate lawyer who eventually falls for his boss, played by Jennifer Lopez.

Rumours of a real-life romance started to swirl, but the pair insisted on the red carpet recently that they are "not dating".

Ted Lasso season 4 will also premiere later in the summer and drop new episodes weekly, and Goldstein's foul-mouthed Roy Kent is set to return.

The question is, will he get back together with Juno Temple's Keeley Jones or not?

Meanwhile, Manville's cosy crime murder mystery series based on Anthony Horowitz's franchise of Susan Ryeland novels is coming back this year.

The Marble Hall Murders will see the action move to Corfu, with guest stars including The Celebrity Traitors' Mark Bonnar, Game of Thrones' Harry Lloyd, Whitechapel's Rupert Penry-Jones and Line of Duty's Anneika Rose, to name a few.

Her latest film, Winter of the Crow, just had its first UK screenings as part of the SXSW London festival. Set in Warsaw in 1981, the film follows Manville's character as the city is thrown into martial law.
