G’wed has unveiled its first look at The Vivienne’s posthumous appearance on the show following their death earlier this month.

The star, who appeared in the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, passed away on January 5 at the age of 32, with several industry figures paying tribute to the drag artist in the wake of the news.

It was announced on January 15 that the late star would be appearing in the second season of G’wed, the ITV sitcom which follows various teenagers as they navigate life in the city of Liverpool.

The cameo, which comes in the first episode of the second season, sees The Vivienne play a nightclub owner who offers Ted (Dominic Murphy) a shot after being impressed with his comedic talent.

The three images show The Vivienne - who also appeared in the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars - in character as they are pictured backstage preparing for their act, with another image showing them near the microphone.

“The Vivienne was a trailblazing icon and we were truly honoured when we found out they were a fan of G’wed and equally excited when they agreed to appear in the first episode of the new series. They will always be in our hearts and forever part of the G’wed family.”

The second season of G’wed, which was created by Danny Kenny, will reportedly look at “consent, age gap relationships and the acceptable way to make money while still at school.” The new episodes will premiere on February 6, with a third season already being greenlit.

G’wed returns on ITV2 and ITVX on February 6.
