Good Morning Britain has been hit with hundreds of Ofcom complaints after presenter Adil Ray was accused of fat-shaming darts player Luke Littler.

The incident during Thursday’s (January 2) episode of the ITV show as a segment covered Littler’s progress to the semi-finals of the 2025 World Darts Championship, a tournament the teenager would eventually go on to win.

After prefacing his statement by sharing that he would say something that “might not be very popular”, Ray said: “I'm a little bit worried about Littler. He's 17, and he's turning into the look of a darts player.

“Look at him! He's admitted he has pizzas before a match and sits there playing computer games. I just think I'm a bit worried” he continued, with co-presenter Kate Garraway interjecting by saying that Ray “shouldn’t be worried” as Littler is “so successful.”

“He's going to get more successful, and he can keep on doing it... but I don't want him to get too unhealthy,” he continued, with Garraway adding that he should visit Littler’s dressing room with a carrot to “see how that goes down.”
