Pop icon Mel B has addressed speculation about a Spice Girls documentary that was reportedly axed. According to Metro, Netflix was previously considering a show about the '90s girl group, following the success of David and Victoria Beckham's respective series.
The documentary was allegedly going to explore the band's meteoric rise to fame, global influence and ensuing split, revealing the backstage truths about their tumultuous journey.
The streamer was supposedly hoping to bring all five members together to recount their epic story and set the record straight over twenty years after they disbanded.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Mel B was asked about the documentary and whether there were any updates on the horizon.
"Well, I don't think anything is happening," she shared. "I think something was but I don't think it's actually gonna be happening now after all. Which is a shame."

"Not even being on board for a documentary is CRAZY. Come on, Geri and Victoria. They are my favorite Spice Girls, but please stop saying no, think of the fans. At least give us that since a tour will never happen," a third added.
It's unclear which project Mel B was actually referring to, as The Sun recently reported that a drama series was in the works from Netflix to mark the band's 30th anniversary.
The show was apparently shelved by the streamer due to tensions between the members.
