Richard Gadd's new BBC drama Half Man has confirmed its cast ahead of filming starting in 2025.
As well as writing and executive producing, the Baby Reindeer creator will star alongside All of Us Strangers actor Jamie Bell in the six-episode series. Production is set to begin in Scotland in the new year.
The series, which was previously titled Lions, follows two "estranged" brothers and their tumultuous relationship that spans almost 40 years.
"When Ruben (Gadd) shows up unexpectedly at Niall's (Bell) wedding, it leads to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives," teases the official synopsis.

The series will cover the highs and lows of the brothers' relationship from the 1980s to the present day, starting with them meeting as teenagers to their falling out as adults – with lots of challenging moments along the way.
What to Read Next
"Half Man will capture the wild energy of a changing city – a changing world, even – and try to get to the bottom of a difficult question... What does it mean to be a man?" the logline concludes.
"I am delighted to confirm I will be playing Ruben in the newly crowned Half Man for the BBC/HBO alongside the incomparable Jamie Bell," said Gadd in a statement.
"When I wrote the show, I did it with him in mind, never thinking for a second we would manage to land him. So, I could not be happier for everything that has come to pass in getting him on board.

"He is one of the greatest actors of his generation and I am so looking forward to seeing what he does with the role. Thanks to all the staff at the BBC, HBO, and Mam Tor Productions for making it all happen. I cannot wait to work with you all in the months ahead."
Bell added: "I'm so excited to join this incredible creative team. Richard has once again crafted something poignant and singular. I'm honoured to have been asked to bring this to life with him."
Half Man will be produced by Wendy Griffin, with Rivals filmmaker Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck on board to direct.
The news comes after Gadd recently signed a multi-year deal with Netflix, following the success of Baby Reindeer – which followed the true story of his stalking ordeal and sexual abuse.
Half Man doesn't have a release date yet. Baby Reindeer is available to stream on Netflix.
