The premiere news comes after the release date for the third Dune movie was confirmed back in July.

The IMAX Corporation revealed that the untitled sequel from director Denis Villeneuve is planned for release in 2026.

Speaking previously to Digital Spy about a threequel following the success of Dune: Part Two earlier this year, the director confirmed that they "are in early stages".

"We are in the right direction," he added. "There's a lot of work that has been done, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done in order to have something solid to shoot."

Legendary Entertainment CEO Josh Grode added: "I think everybody is very excited and really enjoying this moment, and if Denis gets the script right and he feels that he can deliver another experience on par with what we've just completed, then I don't see why not.

"We have to have all creative stakeholders aligned and support the vision."

Dune: Prophecy will premiere on Max in the US on November 17 and Sky and NOW in the UK on November 18.
