Netflix has unveiled the first look at the return of The Night Agent.

The streamer shares both good and bad news for fans of the show on Tuesday (October 8), as these first-look images from season two accompanied the announcement of The Night Agent being renewed for a 10-episode third season.

However, fans will have to wait a bit longer for the show to stream its new episodes, as season two will launch in "winter 2025" instead of later this year as originally expected.

Series star Gabriel Basso celebrated the show's renewal for a third season by promising fans on his Instagram Story that The Night Agent is "coming soon".

The first-look images reveal Gossip Girl star Amanda Warren as the new character Catherine Weaver, a trainer for the Night Action investigative program who works with Basso's Agent Peter Sutherland.

The first season of The Night Agent revolved around Sutherland having to root out a mole at the highest levels of the US government.

At the same time, he was forced to protect tech CEO Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan) from being next on the Kill List from the same shady group that murdered her aunt and uncle.

In season two, Agent Sutherland is sent on a dangerous mission to Asia, where he must rely on help from Night Action's Catherine and Rose to escape a whole new level of treachery.
