Channel 4 is to air a new documentary on child shooters in the US.
The Child Shooters of America: Kids 'n' Guns will explore the world of child shooters and their families, for whom the right to teach their kids to shoot is a powerful issue.
There are 262-310 million firearms in circulation in the US and they are projected to become the leading cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 24 in 2015.
Anna Miralis, Commissioning Editor for Documentaries for Channel 4, said: "The American relationship with firearms has triggered some significant political battles for the country.
"Now that they are being put in the hands of children, the issue becomes even more complex. This unique documentary presents the compelling stories behind the horrifying statistics."
Kids 'n' Guns will be produced by Minnow Films and will air on Channel 4 this summer.
