1 in 5 'would choose TV box set over sex'

One in five would rather watch a TV box set than have sex with their partner.

According to an online survey conducted by YouGov for blinkbox, 21% of participants revealed their preference for television.

Meanwhile, 17% said that they would make an excuse to stay in to enjoy a box set instead of seeing family or friends.

80% watch box sets in the living room, with 41% in their bedroom. 2% admitted to catching up on a series on the toilet.

One third (33%) stated that they get less sleep when hooked on a TV box set.

"Amazing storytelling and great characters like [Breaking Bad's] Walter White have ensured that box set TV is firmly ingrained in our culture and part of our everyday lives.

"We now sell as much TV as we do movies on blinkbox."
