Popular action series Strike Back will return for a fifth series in 2014, it has been announced.
Sky1 and HBO/Cinemax both confirmed the commission earlier today (October 28). Cinemax has billed the 10-episode run as the show's final season.

Shooting will start on series five in Asia and Europe in the early part of next year.
Sky1 director Adam Macdonald said that the current fourth series is on "cracking form", and that he is "delighted" to be working with HBO/Cinemax and producers Left Bank Pictures on series five.
Exec producer Cameron Roach added: "Strike Back is a unique piece of television, grand scale and action packed.

Strike Back's fourth series starts in the UK tonight (Monday, October 28) on Sky1.
