Gangs of London has made quite the impression on audiences since its premiere, but those watching outside of the UK have absolutely no idea what anyone is saying.

The new Sky Atlantic series, which is directed by The Raid's Gareth Evans, follows rival gangs vying for power in present-day London after the head of the most powerful crime family is assassinated.

However, those watching on Cinemax in the US are struggling to understand the characters' thick cockney accents – and they've made that perfectly clear on the sportman's bet (that's apparently cockney slang for internet).

Hilariously, non-UK viewers have desperately been trying to find English subtitles for the show.

"This is a very good show but we need subtitles, some of us can’t cope with the staunch British accent," tweeted one viewer.

"Why cant I find the Gangs of London subtitle file anywhere on the internet. British English so annoying," added another, while someone else tweeted: "Really wanted to watch Gangs of London right now, but without subtitles and the British accent, its a no no from me."
