Kingdom Hearts is a gaming franchise built on brilliantly mashing together the worlds of Disney and Square Enix games, with the latter primarily featuring the famous faces of Final Fantasy characters.
For some time now, the third instalment in the series has been sorely anticipated by fans – and now we know much more of what to expect thanks to Disney's D23 Expo that's happening right now over in California.
First and foremost, the game is now said to be coming along in 2018. Seeing as it was first announced at the E3 gaming expo in 2013, and that Kingdom Hearts 2 came out in 2005, it certainly has been a matter of patience for people looking forward to its release.
But the really big news is that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to feature the world of Toy Story in its gameplay.
As shown off at length in the newly-released trailer above, the game's main protagonist Sora – flanked by Goofy and Donald Duck – is transported to Andy's room, before meeting Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Hamm to discuss how the Heartless enemies are infiltrating the Toy Story world the game will explore, quite a bit of which we see in this new snippet.
The new crossover offers up loads of exciting potential gameplay and character opportunities, so we are really excited to see and play the final product when it lands (hopefully!) next year.
