James Bond fans have been treated to a first look at 007 First Light, which comes with an exciting twist.
Set for release in 2026 from the developers behind the Hitman franchise, IO Interactive, Amazon MGM Studios will release the new "story-driven action-adventure game" with a standalone original story.
First-look images tease the young version of the super-spy that fans will be able to play as, a young Royal Navy air crewman who is recruited by MI6 to become the Bond we know today.
For the first time ever, fans of the franchise will be able to experience Bond's ascension through the ranks of MI6, from his recruitment to a full-fledged spy.
A synopsis continues: "Bond’s adventures will take players all around the globe, coming face to face with allies and foes (or in some cases, both), while choosing how they overcome obstacles and challenges, whether it be with brute force, cunning guile, or charming wit."
A full trailer was also unveiled yesterday during PlayStation's State of Play showcase.

First Light will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
It's a third-person action-adventure game that will allow players to "choose how to utilize Bond’s unique set of skills in combat, relationships, as well as the latest in Q’s technological gadgetry in his ascent to becoming 007".
Familiar faces such as M, Q, and Moneypenny will pop up along the way, as well as new characters such as the mysterious Isola and Bond's mentor John Greenway.

Those who sign up for an IOI account will receive an exclusive in-game item for the game's launch and additional rewards in the future.

007 First Light is available to wishlist now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It will be released in 2026.
