Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has just debuted a new trailer and confirmed a release window.

The new Indy adventure from developer MachineGames, known for the Wolfenstein games, will be available to buy in 2024 (it's also coming to Game Pass on day one), but there's no word yet as to when that will be exactly.

Watch this space as we'll update you as soon as publisher Bethesda announces a release date.

Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, the game takes place in 1937 as sinister forces are searching for an ancient power.

Players will take on the role of Indiana Jones, mastering Indy's iconic whip and quick wits to unravel this menacing conspiracy in an epic, globetrotting adventure that will see him connect the dots between some of the most ancient archaeological wonders.

In the game, Indy's whip can be used to distract, disarm, and attack enemies and traverse the environment, with players being treated to a mix between a narrative-driven gaming and open-area maps.

With gameplay full of adventure, immersive action, and intriguing puzzles, players can experience "a combination of stealthy infiltration, first-person melee, and gunplay" in Indy's latest mystery.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle uses Harrison Ford's likeness to recreate the character, while Troy Baker, known for voicing Joel in The Last of Us games, lends his voice to the archaeostar.

Elsewhere in the Indiana Jones universe, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold has recently presented Ford with a lifetime achievement award at this year's Critics Choice Award.

The actor, who also starred in Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now and Star Wars, delivered an emotional acceptance speech, thanking his wife, Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart.

"I'm really happy to be here and just see what our business is turning into. And all of the talented people who are getting opportunities that probably would not have existed in the early part of my career. I'm very happy about that," Ford said on stage.

"I'm here because of a combination of luck and the work of wonderful directors, writers and filmmakers. I feel enormously lucky," he added, before giving a shoutout to Flockhart who "supports me when I need a lot of support – and I need a lot of support".

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass later this year.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is available to watch now on Disney+.
