Busted, Nicolette tries to explain her dossier of evidence against Aaron, but Kiri is appalled. Unsure whether to tell Aaron what she has learnt, Kiri seeks counsel from Remi and Cara, who urge Kiri to consider what's in Isla's best interest. Kiri sees Nicolette handle an Isla meltdown with great parenting and softens.

Later, Nicolette explains to Kiri that the evidence she was keeping against Aaron was a misguided contingency plan she regrets. Determined to change, Nicolette deletes the list.

Nicolette is ashamed to admit she also consulted lawyers about the video parenting agreement she made with Aaron and David to see if it would stand in court and Remi ensures she calls it off. With Remi's advice in mind, Kiri agrees to work things out but this is Nicolette's last chance.

Meanwhile, JJ is unenthused about helping Dex with his biology assignment but quickly changes tune for Nell. Fed up with Dex over-analysing his intentions, JJ challenges Dex to ask Nell out as he won't be able to let things go until he has an answer from her.

When Dex timidly does so, Nell's left uncomfortable and desperate to avoid hurting her friend. Although she lets him down gently, Dex is heartbroken to learn Nell doesn't reciprocate his feelings.

Elsewhere, Byron is home and shows Sadie the work he did for the vineyard while in Queensland. He studied how to use an AI program to generate high quality marketing content.

Mindful of his silent investor status, Byron gives Nicolette the material to present as hers. Unaware of this, Sadie puts in a good word to Leo about Byron's handiwork and Leo eventually gets the sense Nicolette isn't fully across the material she's pitched as hers. But by the time Sadie and Byron realise she's put her foot in it, Leo has requested a meeting with Byron, who has a bad feeling about where he stands.

Also today, when one of Wendy's regular staff at the Waterhole calls in sick, Quinn is in the right place at the right time and takes on a casual shift to help out.

Over the day, Wendy and Quinn provide each other some much needed emotional support. A visit from Quinn's overseas family has him feeling as though he doesn't fully belong in either culture as a first generation Australian and he opens up about how challenging it is to reconcile his identity.

Wendy's nervous about her mentorship starting this week and fears that doing badly in her mentorship will fuel the chatter that she was given the opportunity to service a diversity agenda.

In simpatico, the two offer each other well tailored support and their day of connecting culminates in a powerful charged moment. Rattled by the intimacy, Wendy breaks the moment but is left shaken by the emotional connection she felt with her friend.
