An outraged Krista urges Byron to fix his mess with Leo's big investor. However, Byron is unable to and Krista is torn as he desperately begs her to keep quiet, insisting the truth will leave Leo with no option at all to save the business.
Seeing no other choice, Krista is forced to lie to Leo as she reveals his venture capitalist is out. Devastated, Leo reverts to the co-investment trial with Nicolette, Byron and Kiri. Nicolette is relieved they still have a chance, but realises everything now hinges on her fixing things with Kiri.
Drawn back to her old church, Kiri is surprised to run into Sasha and even more shocked to learn that the church is being shut down due to funding issues. The unexpected encounter leads Sasha and Kiri to clear the air. However, when Kiri prompts him to confirm Nicolette's revelation about true attraction toward him on her side, Sasha urges her to seek her answers from Nicolette.
