Xander is on edge, desperate for Rose to leave Salt before Stacey arrives. It's too late when Stacey catches Xander hanging out with his sister. Xander sends Rose on her way.

Inspired by Xander's dating, Rose spends her solo night in scrolling through dating apps. However, after endless disappointing profiles, she gives up.

Just as the sparks start flying between Xander and Stacey, a seemingly drunk patron collapses on the floor. Leaping into paramedic mode, Xander rushes over to help. Stacey is impressed by Xander's heroism but excuses herself for an early night. Taking this as a bad sign, a disappointed Xander assumes their first date is also their last.

The next day, Xander is pleasantly surprised when a flirtatious Stacey is happy to see him again. Stacey assures Xander that watching him save a man's life was a date to remember – and she's looking forward to the next one.

Meanwhile, stunned and frozen to the spot, Mackenzie looks on helplessly as Xander tends to the unconscious patron on the restaurant floor. Trying to make amends, Mackenzie takes flowers to the hospital, but is floored to learn the man is in ICU in a coma. Mackenzie is rattled by her inaction and resolves to get serious about first aid.

Elsewhere, Marilyn suggests Roo return to tutoring. A curt Roo quickly deflects, setting off alarm bells for Marilyn. A candid Roo admits that she's rattled by her misjudgement of Heather. A staunch Marilyn refuses to let Heather ruin Roo's self-confidence, so she fixes her sights on reviving Roo's tutoring business.
