Hollyoaks star Kelle Bryan has revealed the cast of the Channel 4 soap are in contact "every single day" while in lockdown.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the Martine Deveraux actress shared that the stars of the show have a WhatsApp group where they regularly exchange jokes and support each other during these unprecedented times.
"We have a cast WhatsApp group so we speak every single day. Everyone features in that," she said. "We're sending jokes to each other but also sharing the difficult times that some of us are going through - some particularly difficult times at the moment. So we're sharing the highs and lows."
She continued: "We're watching the episodes together. It's really sweet and we're encouraging each other. In particular, Niamh Blackshaw was exceptional in the hour-long special last week. I thought her work was amazing. So we're watching each other, encouraging each other and talking daily on the WhatsApp group.
"I'm missing work because we genuinely have such a great time there. We have a lot of fun, laughter and jokes together. We get our work done but we have a laugh too. I miss everybody, but we do talk all the time.
She added that the cast are finding ways to stay connected with their fans and remind them that they're still here.

Asked whether the show is well-equipped to get back up and running when the lockdown eventually comes to an end, Kelle said: "[Executive producer] Bryan Kirkwood is an absolute don in his role as captain of the ship.
"He sends out an email every week or so, explaining what's going on, what the updates are and keeping us in touch with what's happening. He's really sensitively going through this process to make sure everybody is okay."
She added: "Obviously we have plans to go back to work once it's safe and we're able to do so. I don't think life will ever be the same on the other side – it can't be.
"We have to learn lessons from where we are and take those into our next chapter. We absolutely have to do that and I think life will change on the other side, but for the better. We'll learn new ways of living and it will be for the better ultimately."
Like all other TV shows, filming on Hollyoaks is currently suspended during lockdown and has dropped two of its weekly episodes in order to spread out its storylines as much as possible.
Hollyoaks airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 will feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming.
