Robert finally arrives at the cottage and accuses his brother of committing murder, but John's defiance is unbreakable. When the confrontation turns physical, Robert's left lifeless on the ground.
Aaron makes his escape from John and tries to find Mack, but his search is increasingly hopeless and he's stopped in his tracks by a massive gorge. Turning around, he's shocked to be face-to-face with a bloodied John.
As John tries to improvise a cover story, Aaron no longer believes a word from his lips. All at once, Aaron can see how unbalanced John really is.
Aaron urges John to lead him to Mack, but just as John is on the verge of calling the police to confess, Robert appears. John's sense of betrayal is instantaneous as he accuses Aaron of orchestrating the reunion.
As things escalate, John calls the police to frame Robert before jumping into the gorge with his arms around Aaron.
