Waterloo Road is back after almost nine years off our screens, with Adam Thomas also back as Donte Charles, who has now become a teacher at the school he used to cause all sorts of trouble at.
After originally leaving the BBC school drama in 2009, he then had a long-running stint in Emmerdale, playing Adam Barton for nine years until 2018. And although he's only just reprised one major role, he's already being asked whether an Emmerdale return as is on the cards as well.
Appearing on Lorraine this week, Adam explained he'd love to return at some point in the future, stating: "It’s the best and that’s what I miss the most, it’s the cast and the actors that work there. They are incredible and you genuinely do become like a huge family. I miss them all so much, so never say never."

He added: "I would love to go back one day if the story was right. It has always held a special place in my heart."
Interestingly, Adam recently revealed that he actually was asked to go back to Emmerdale for a bit to celebrate their 50th anniversary, but he was just too busy with... Waterloo Road!
"They asked me and Danny Miller to go back for the 50th anniversary but unfortunately I was busy doing this and we couldn’t make it work," he said.

His return to Waterloo Road not only sees Adam reunite with Angela Griffin (who plays head of pastoral care turned headmistress Kim Campbell), but also Katie Griffiths (Chlo Grainger).
Meanwhile, it's a family affair for the actor, as his real-life son Teddy Thomas and niece Scarlett Thomas are also part of the cast.
Waterloo Road airs Tuesdays on BBC One, while all episodes of the reboot series are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
