Mandy Dingle will face heartbreak next week as Paul Ashdale's dark side resurfaces in Emmerdale.
Paul's (Reece Dinsdale) demons have reemerged in recent weeks, as he recently attacked son Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) after returning to gambling.
Mandy (Lisa Riley) is unaware of his struggles as she announces plans to get a new place for the family – just herself, Paul and Vinny.

Though Mandy has enough to make a deposit, she asks Vinny to keep her plans a secret from Paul for the time being.

Vinny soon grows concerned when he hears his dad placing a bet, but Paul once again insists that he's stopped gambling for good this time.
When Paul finds out about Mandy's plans, he resents that they've left him out of the loop. He still insists on depositing the cash in the bank, in spite of Mandy and Vinny's objections.
However, Paul restores their faith when he reveals that he resisted his urges to start gambling again – and was instead on the phone with his mentor.
Once Vinny leaves, Paul reveals his true colours by stealing the cash and heads straight for the bookie. Viewers will have to wait until next week to find out what he does with the money.
Meanwhile, Mandy is thrilled when the estate agent calls with a lead on a listing. Will Paul's secrets finally be exposed?
