Joe Swash has said he would "never say never" about a return to EastEnders, and that he left the show "on good terms".

The 33-year-old actor, who played Mickey Miller in the show, also described EastEnders' live 30th anniversary episodes as "gripping and fascinating".

In an interview with Metro, Swash was asked if he would like to go back to the BBC One soap.

He said: "Never say never. Maybe one day, but they might never ask me."

On presenting the EastEnders: Live Backstage programme, he said "it was lovely to go back".

"It was great to see all the old faces I worked with," he explained. "Not just actors, but a lot of the crew I knew are still there.

Speaking about the soap's 'Who Killed Lucy' storyline, the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now! presenter said: "As a viewer it was gripping and fascinating.

"Everyone was a suspect at some stage. It's one of the best whodunnits EastEnders has done. The live episode was amazing. The acting was out of this world."
