EastEnders star Max Bowden has revealed that Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway's story will be revisited very soon.
Ben and Callum have attracted a loyal army of 'Ballum' shippers online since the show first started exploring a romantic chemistry between them.
Despite his passionate encounter with Ben back in June, Callum has gone on to propose to his girlfriend Whitney – leaving fans wondering what the future holds for the popular pair now.
The good news, however, is that Max – who plays Ben – has promised that there's lots more to come from the story as he's hinting that things could come to a head around the time of Callum and Whitney's wedding.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Max said: "It’s still bubbling and festering underneath. I think right now, Ben’s in a very different head space but we’ve got a wedding to look forward to and it’s all going to come to loggerheads very soon."
Discussing the fan support for Ben and Callum, Max said: "I'm really glad it’s been received so well. The best thing for me is when people are telling us their stories about how they’ve found it okay to come out themselves – that has been a really beautiful part of it.

"I think what has drawn them to this dynamic is the common ground we’re drawing on. It’s been lovely to have such big support from fans of the show."

Max added: "Callum is a lovely guy, but everyone has their demons. There is certainly that element of similarity between Ben and Callum in a lot of ways.
"But there is also this shift of Ben having a very dark, crime side and Callum having had a straighter life. That’s definitely what is so interesting about them."
