Kara Tointon has admitted that she didn't like her image on EastEnders.

Tointon, who played Dawn Swann in the soap, explained that she had never taken her characters' clothes home.

"No, I did not," she told Heat. "I hated Dawn's wardrobe!"

The actress explained that she has been trying to change her look since she left the show, adding that the first thing she did was dye her hair.

She said: "When you're in a show like EastEnders, you're not really allowed to do anything to your appearance, so I thought when I left, I'd just have a change and get rid of the Dawn thing."

Tointon recently said that she would love to return to EastEnders.
