1. Coronation Street: David and Alina grow closer

(Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV)

Discovering that Clayton has been in touch with Shona, David goes to the prison and warns him to leave his wife alone. The cunning killer refuses to follow orders, leaving David infuriated.

Back on the cobbles, David fills Gail and Nick in on what happened, and Nick offers to help by having a word with Shona. Shona refuses to see him and gets her key worker to pass on a message for David – she wants a divorce. Putting a brave face on things, David announces Shona has done him a favour because now he's free to move on with his life.

Later, the newly-single Platt drowns his sorrows in Victoria Garden with Alina, who's also having a tough time. As sparks fly, David texts Nick, claiming Alina is poorly and needs the day off. The pair's cosy new friendship ruffles Seb's feathers, and when David accuses him of being jealous, he punches him in the middle of The Rovers.

Realising Seb still carries a torch for Alina, Emma tells him to find somewhere else to stay, while David breaks down in tears over losing Shona. Will Alina be there to offer him a shoulder to cry on?

2. Emmerdale: Paddy and Chas on the rocks

(Monday at 7pm on ITV)

Chas and Paddy's relationship is under enormous strain as she struggles to forgive him for leaving Eve in the car. Aaron picks up on the atmosphere, and tensions boil over after the christening when Chas berates Paddy in front of the whole pub, revealing that he endangered their daughter.

Consumed with guilt and self-loathing, the vet leaves Chas a note and goes to see Marlon, who urges his pal to stop punishing himself. After desperately trying to get hold of Paddy, Chas is forced to cover for his whereabouts when social services turn up at The Woolpack wanting to speak to them.

Fuming at his no-show, Chas lays into Paddy when he finally returns home, accusing him of letting Eve down. Her words cut deep, leaving Paddy fearing his foolish actions might have cost him his family.

3. EastEnders: Ben is nicked

(Monday at 8pm on BBC One)

It's business as usual for Ben as he gets ready for his meeting with Danny, determined that his nemesis won't find out about his hearing loss. Meanwhile, Callum is busy preparing for his police assessment, but when Ruby reveals that Ben is over at the club with Danny, he heads over to give him some back-up. Things turn sour when Danny discovers Callum is training to become a copper, and Ben reluctantly reveals his loss of hearing.

Furious with Callum with interfering, Ben lashes out and heads over to The Albert, where he enjoys a drink with a stranger called Hugo. Later, drunken Ben steals Hugo's car, but his joyride comes to an end when he's pulled over by the police.

Callum is devastated to hear about his boyfriend's arrest, and when Kathy reveals Ben was seen leaving the bar with another man, he reaches a decision about the future of their relationship.

4. Hollyoaks: Liam wants Grace dead

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

As Liam makes his final preparations for his 'Devil's Dinner Party', Grace and Mercedes strike up an unlikely alliance when they discover he has been pimping out Maxine. The ladies confront Liam, but he shows no remorse, remaining fixated on avenging Jesse's death.

The next day, Mercedes is gutted when Sylver serves her divorce papers, while Grace is giddy with excitement planning her own nuptials, unaware of what her brother is plotting. Putting his dark plan into action, Liam first kidnaps John Paul, then lures Sylver to him on the pretence of Grace needing help. Moments later, Mercedes receives a text, alerting her to the danger Sylver could be in.

Mercedes, James, Grace and Maxine all head to the emporium, where they find an invite to Liam's party at The Dog. As his enemies arrive for his devilish dinner, Liam locks them in the boozer, giving James and Grace three minutes to find their missing fellas.

The pair return from their search holding a parcel, and Liam delights in telling Mercedes they shot her. Revelling in everyone's misery, Liam issues Mercedes a deadly ultimatum – promising he'll let everyone live, on the condition she murders Grace.

5. Neighbours: Will Susan be Finn's next victim?

(Tuesday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

Susan could be next in killer Finn's firing line as Monday's episode treats viewers to a special two-hander, featuring Jackie Woodburne and Rob Mills. After returning to Ramsay Street from the island, Finn lures Susan away from the Kennedy house, claiming Bea is staying at a cabin in the Snowy Mountains and needs their help.

En route to their destination, Susan is shocked to discover baby Aster is in the car. When Finn confesses he's planning a new future for just the three of them, she plays along, knowing her life depends on it.

Arriving the cabin, Finn traps Susan inside, but just as she begins to lose hope of making it out alive, she's rescued by a surprise arrival – Elly. Together they manage to escape the cabin, but Elly is adamant that Finn should pay for his heinous crimes and heads back into the path of danger to find him.

6. Emmerdale: Victoria and Luke sleep together

(Tuesday at 7pm on ITV)

Emotions get the better of Wendy as she breaks down during Theo, Harry and Eve's joint christening, overcome with grief for her late son. Bob and Luke offer Wendy a shoulder to cry on, and she's touched when Victoria offers her a heartfelt hug.

After the celebrations, Victoria and Luke return to Keepers and there's sexual tension in the air as she asks him if he fancies having an early night. The next morning, Luke is buzzing following their intimate encounter, but Vic isn't so enthusiastic as she questions if she has rushed into things too quickly.

7. EastEnders: Is Mitch on to Gray?

(Monday at 8pm on BBC One)

Whitney's loved ones face an anxious wait to hear the outcome of her bail hearing. Will Gray's incriminating evidence against Leo be enough to secure her release from prison?

Back on the Square, Chantelle is having a successful first week at the call centre, impressing Kheerat with her work ethic. Feeling the pressure of balancing her work and home life, Chantelle is grateful when Mitch offers to lend her a hand. But she's thrown into panic when he finds Gray's therapy card lying around the house, and wants to know what's going on. Is Mitch edging closer to discovering the truth about his abusive son-in-law?

8. Coronation Street: Gemma hits rock bottom

(Monday at 7.30pm on ITV)

Haunted by a vivid nightmare about her harming Aled, fragile Gemma is further shaken when the health visitor tells her Llio has lost weight and needs more milk. Brushing off questions about her mental wellbeing, Gemma struggles on. However, when she goes into the yard to escape her babies' constant cries, disaster strikes when she accidentally locks herself out.

Bernie is alarmed as she arrives to find her distressed daughter trying to break down the door. Having forced her way inside, Bernie tries to reassure Gemma, who's inconsolable, branding herself an unfit mum.

Worried this is more than a case of baby blues, Bernie offers move in and help, agreeing not to tell Chesney, on the condition Gemma that sees Dr Gaddas. Gemma agrees to the appointment, but leaves Bernie frustrated when she downplays her depression, insisting she's just sleep deprived.

As Bernie berates Gemma for failing to accept she's suffering from postnatal depression, Chesney walks in, wanting to know what they're rowing about.

9. Hollyoaks: Is Liberty falling for Brody?

(Wednesday at 7pm on E4 and Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Wanting to show pregnant Liberty his support, Brody agrees to accompany her to a prenatal meditation class, but the pair are left red-faced when the session takes an intimate turn. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable around Liberty, Brody crushes her hopes of romance. Stung by the rejection, Liberty asks Damon to take her dancing, leaving Brody baffled by her hot and cold behaviour.

Later, Liberty tries to make some sense of her feelings for Brody by confiding in Courtney. Having experienced her own difficulties with Liam and Iona, Courtney relates with Liberty's situation and offers her some advice. But when Liberty hears Liam is holding hostages at The Dog, and is unable to reach Brody, the fear of losing him makes her come to a huge realisation.

10. Home and Away: A shock twist in Leah's disappearance

(Tuesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

Three weeks on and there's still no sign of Leah, who vanished without a trace after taking a mysterious phone call. With the police failing to come up with any credible leads, Maggie and Roo decide to take matters into their own hands by setting up a missing person's case. Their search for clues gets off to a frustratingly slow start, but when Maggie takes a look at Leah's website, she's shocked to see not only has it been reactivated, it's also in regular use.

Knowing that Leah shut her blog down, and troubled by the misogynistic tone of the new content, Irene questions if someone else could have hacked the site. The friends share their findings with Colby, who promises to try and speed up the investigation into Leah's disappearance. As news of Leah's website activity reaches Justin, he begins obsessively monitoring the site, convinced someone is holding his girlfriend hostage.
