The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this evening (July 24) announced that their newborn son is to be named George Alexander Louis.
The third in line to the throne will have the official title His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

With George being the bookies' favourite, it came as little surprise to many that the young royals chose the traditional name for their child.
