Johnny Galecki has nothing but love for his TV wife and real-life ex, Kaley Cuoco.
Galecki, who co-stars with Cuoco on the CBS hit The Big Bang Theory, once dated the actress for two years, but the exes have remained good friends since their split in 2010. On Saturday, Cuoco showed just how close they are by inviting Galecki to her wedding to equestrian Karl Cook.
"Couldn't be happier for my fake wife @normancook and @mrtankcook whose words brought us all to tears last night," Galecki wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from the reception. "So much love for you both."
He also shared a second photo from the wedding that featured both Cuoco and her new spouse with the caption: "Deepest congrats to the newlyweds. Love you both so much @normancook & @mrtankcook So moved by tonight."
Galecki and Cuoco dated after meeting on the series in 2007. However, it wasn't until 2013 that Galecki opened up to CBS Watch! magazine about why they kept their relationship private, Today reports.
"We're dear friends, still," he said. "She's not an ex, she's a part of my life. I just don't like to speak about it. And not because I'm trying to be enigmatic; I just worry that it will conflict with people's acceptance of [BBT characters] Leonard and Penny. I get the curiosity, but I don't want to distract from the story."
Despite their break-up, Galecki and Cuoco have maintained a professional relationship both off camera and on. In 2016, their characters, Leonard and Penny, even tied the knot in a season 9 episode.
In 2017, Cuoco said of Galecki on The Talk: "He's one of my best friends and one of the closest people I've ever worked with."
