Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates isn't known for giving personal interviews, but he will buck that trend during an appearance on the BBC's Desert Island Discs later this month.
The businessman and entrepreneur will chat with host Kirsty Young on the Radio 4 show at 11.15am on January 31.
Like other Desert Island Discs guests, Gates will be asked to select eight records, a book and a luxury to take with him to a mythical desert island.
No doubt those things would keep him entertained until he managed to build a hi-tech contraption to escape the island.
Desert Island Discs' format dates back to 1942 and more than 2,000 episodes from the BBC's archives are available to listen to on its website.
