Never before has the name 'Becky' been typed so much into Google.

When Beyoncé uttered the now famous lyric, "He better call Becky with the good hair," on infectious jam 'Sorry' this past weekend, she sparked what is fast becoming one of the most talked-about mysteries in pop.

If you're one of the three or so people in the world who hasn't heard about the superstar's new album Lemonade, there's plenty on the collection that hints at her husband Jay Z's alleged infidelity. And Becky is apparently to blame.

Naturally, Queen Bey's fans quickly went to work trying to figure out who the unknown woman is - and it's led them to more than a few wrong conclusions.

So let us help put the record straight. Although these are the women most often accused of being the cryptic 'Becky', they have denied all accusations. Even though they do all have good hair.

The American fashion designer was linked to Jay Z last year and has routinely been reported as the reason why Bey's sister Solange went bat-shit crazy at the rapper in the elevator following the Met Gala in 2014.

The 42-year-old didn't help matters by posting "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens" on Instagram, shortly after Beyoncé's HBO special Lemonade aired on Saturday night.

But she has since clarified that she is not Becky. "I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn't be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind," she tweeted, after facing the wrath of The Beyhive.

RITA ORA

If she's said it once before, she'll say it again for those of you who just won't let up. Rita Ora has never had an affair with Jay Z.

It was a case of unfortunate circumstances that led to Rita Ora falling into the frame. Firstly, she posted a picture of herself on Snapchat with a lemon bra on, seemingly as a nod to Lemonade. But then her 'r' pendant was flipped by the camera's mirrored setting, and actually looked like a J. Eek.

Fans jumped on the Snapchat post, and tabloids quickly started reporting that Rita was "taunting" Beyoncé by wearing the same dress as her from her 'Formation' video. Of course, this is all utter nonsense, but it got so bad Rita felt like she had to defend herself.

"I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false," she tweeted. "I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyoncé. Let's continue enjoying Lemonade." Hear hear!

MYA

Consider this as one seriously clutched-at straw. Gossip site TMZ managed to corner R&B star Mya while she was waiting for her luggage at an airport. The singer collaborated with Jay Z on 'Best of Me (Part 2)' back in 2000, and has always been the subject of unfounded rumours.

But when she was asked about Beyoncé's Lemonade, Mya shrugged off the speculation saying, "That's what you sign up for when you enter the entertainment business. I don't have anybody coming at me, but I know what I'm not guilty of." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is that.

TAYLOR SWIFT

This accusation wasn't a wholly serious one, but people jumped on it nonetheless. Mainly because of its silliness. Immediately after Beyoncé uttered the line, "Better call Becky with the good hair," fans dug out this image of Taylor Swift with her "No it's Becky" T-shirt on.

Basically, back in 2014 a post featuring a high-school picture of T-Swizz paired with a caption claiming a girl named Becky died from marijuana use did the rounds on Tumblr. "Pretty sure that's Taylor Swift," someone remarked, before the poster replied: "No its becky." And thus an Internet meme was born. Taylor jumped in on the joke by getting this yellow tee with the joke printed on it.

So no, Taylor Swift definitely, 100% isn't that Becky. She's been mistaken for a very different Becky. Who's apparently dead from an overdose. So there you go.

RIHANNA

Just no. It's the rumour that will never ever go away, and it's completely unfounded. A former member of Rihanna's team allegedly confessed to celebrity biographer J Randy Taraborrelli that they planted the story way back in the day to help launch the Bajan star's career. So can we just let that one lie now, please.

BUCKY

Amazing. Just amazing. It's worth noting that Marvel superhero Bucky has yet to respond to these unsubstantiated rumours, making him the most likely culprit on this list. That just about sums it all up really, doesn't it?
