Spinal Tap 2 has released its official trailer, showcasing some of its big-name cameos and the role for a certain Taskmaster favourite.
Titled Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the film sees Nigel, David and Derek reunite for one more gig after one of their songs becomes a viral hit.
Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer all reprise their roles as the now-aged rockers, who have all spent years in the wilderness playing in no-name bands and selling cryptocurrency.
Paul McCartney, Questlove and Elton John all appear as themselves, with Paul talking about the legacy of Spinal Tap, Questlove turning down an offer to be the latest in a long line of cursed drummers, and Elton bringing the band on stage with him.
The Thick of It's Chris Addison and Taskmaster's Kerry Godliman have roles as the band's management, offering some... interesting ideas.

And finally, the movie's actual director Rob Reiner is back as Marty DiBergi, the in-universe filmmaker turning all the chaos into a documentary.
Speaking to Beyond the Joke last year, Godliman revealed that her character is called Hope, and is actually the daughter of the band's original manager Ian Faith, played by the late Tony Hendra.
She also stated that her scene with Elton, which also features his husband David Furnish, was mostly improvised.

Meanwhile, Godliman's cozy crime drama Whitstable Pearl returned for its third season just last night in the UK.
It stars the actor as a restaurant owner who doubles as a private investigator.
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in UK and US cinemas on September 12.
