You've dreamed of Donald Glover starring in a Spider-Man movie. Marvel is now making your dream a reality.

The Community favourite - who also has a major hip-hop career as Childish Gambino - has landed a role in Marvel's upcoming reboot Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to Deadline.

Although it's not yet clear who Donald will be playing in Homecoming, his casting will no doubt please fans who have long pitched him as a potential big-screen Spider-Man.

Tom Holland will, of course, be reprising his Captain America: Civil War role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming - but there are many other characters within the Spidey mythos for Donald.

For example, Donald has voiced the alternate Miles Morales version of the wall-crawler in the popular Disney XD animated series Ultimate Spider-Man.

Whoever he ends up playing, Donald will be starring alongside Holland, Zendaya, Kenneth Choi and Tony Revolori in the high school-set Marvel adventure.
