Good news web-heads! It's been confirmed Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man reboot is not going to tell Peter Parker's origin for a third time.
While Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige promised last year that his Spider-Man movie would pick-up with the webslinger already under the cowl, little else has been known about the plot until now.
In a recent chat with Empire, Spider-Man director Jon Watts said that his film can present a different take on Peter Parker since cinema-goers have already seen his origin story twice.
"There are only so many times you can kill Uncle Ben," the filmmaker joked, in reference to a key moment in Spider-Man's origin.
Watts further explained: "I love the idea of making a coming-of-age high-school movie. We're really going to see Peter Parker in high school and get deeper into that side of it. He's just 15 now.
"[Tom Holland] was pretty perfect. He's very athletic. He can actually do a backflip! If he didn't already capture the spirit of the character, with that on top the kid is Spider-Man."

Early rumours also indicate that Marvel will focus on new villains for its solo Spider-Man, while also introducing Marisa Tomei as Peter's Aunt May.
Marvel's Untitled Spider-Man film will swing into cinemas in 2017, following Holland's appearance in next year's Captain America: Civil War.
