The Amazing Spider-Man spin-off film Sinister Six has been given a release date.
Columbia Pictures announced during San Diego Comic-Con that the movie will be released on November 11, 2016.
Sinister Six will focus on the six super villains from the Marvel universe, and be directed by Drew Goddard.
It has also been announced that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will be released in 2018.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb recently spoke to Digital Spy about his sequel, saying that the film builds foundations for future spin-offs.
"There is the idea that other movies are going to emerge from this universe, like the Sinister Six and Venom," he explained, "and we wanted to acknowledge and build a foundation for that."
