The creative team for Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man is set now that the Vacation reboot writers have confirmed their involvement.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein spoke out over the weekend to confirm reports that they will pen Peter Parker's return to the big screen.

"We can finally acknowledge that," Daley told NPR. "This is the first time that we can say that we are writing it."
His partner Goldstein added: "We've been saying no comment for the last week… We're thrilled."
It's already known that the new Spider-Man movie will not be a straight origin story, instead focusing on a high-school age webslinger battling new franchise villains.

"He's a sharp kid and witty and kind of deals with the fact that he's an outcast and a geek through humor," Daley explained.
"It is sort of the safety net for geeks like us, so I think we can totally relate to where he's coming from. As well as the superpowers, which we also have."
