With the Danny Boyle flick hitting cinemas next month, new posters of all the boys have been released, featuring Begbie (Robert Carlyle), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) all hanging around the same bog.

The new movie sees all of the original core cast return, and will be loosely based on Irvine Welsh's sequel book, Porno.

It will pick up the story of Begbie, Spud, Sick Boy and Renton a decade after Trainspotting left off - though 20 years have passed in real life since the first film was released.

Last month, we got wind of a possible TV spin-off for the franchise, as confirmed by the author himself – so you'd best choose a f**king big television if you want to properly enjoy it at home.

Welsh also said of T2: "In some ways, I think it's a better movie They have become such iconic characters and this is going to cement that status even more."

Meanwhile, Robert Carlyle dubbed the screenplay "one of the best f**king scripts" he's ever read, while Ewan McGregor revealed that T2 isn't an attempt at a remake but will be a "new animal" that will stand alone from the 1996 original.

Trainspotting 2 will be hitting cinemas on January 27, 2017 in the UK and February 3 in the US.
