British psychological horror movie In Fear is now available to stream for free. The movie, which features Downton Abbey's Allen leech, was first released back in 2013.

The story follows a young couple who get lost in a maze of country roads while being pursued by a mysterious tormentor.

After airing on Film4 over the weekend, In Fear is now available to watch for free via Channel 4.

The movie largely drew acclaim, sitting at an 81% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, with The Times saying the film presents "a disturbingly tense and chilling scenario we can all identify with: being lost on endless forested country roads at night with the sat-nav down, looking for a bleak hotel".

"Despite falling into a couple inevitable conventions of the genre, particularly towards its resolution, In Fear deranged ambiguity and quiet madness make for a terrifying viewing experience that could actually really happen to anyone," added Movie Mezzanine.

The Observer wrote: "At a time when lesser genre hacks are resorting to leering schlock and dreary formula, it's good to see director Jeremy Lovering going the extra mile with this inventively stripped-down tension-mounting chiller."

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter called it a "compact, effective thriller" that "makes the most of three actors, a car and a network of narrow roads winding through the woods", while Time Out suggested that it "grips like a 4x4" even as "the escalating tension threatens to spin out of control".

In other news, Leech recently landed a role in new thriller Pedro Pan, which tells the true story of one of the largest child rescue operations following the Cuban Revolution.

The movie will also star Néstor Carbonell, Danny Pino, Paz Vega and Andy García, with Richie Adams set to direct.

"I'm humbled to bring this chapter of history to the screen with such an extraordinary cast, whose talent and authenticity will bring depth and truth to these roles," said co-writer Bart Gavigan.

In Fear is streaming now on Channel 4.
