Captain America: Brave New World has a surprise cameo from Bucky Barnes and Marvel fans are seriously divided.
The movie, which is currently in cinemas, sees Anthony Mackie take on his first solo movie in the MCU movie as Sam Wilson the new Captain America.
Making a cameo appearance in the film is Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier whose character is revealed to be running for Congress.

The character was previously brainwashed by Nazis and responsible for the murder of hundreds of people including Tony Stark's parents before he made amends.
Taking to Reddit, fans have shared both their confusion and delight at Bucky's latest career choice, with some saying they didn't understand the cameo.

"Not sure I understand the Bucky cameo," penned one fan, before adding that they found it hard to suspend disbelief at the idea of Bucky in a government position.

The fan continued: "The public and gov’t would actually trust someone who was a hydra assassin for 50 years and killed very important American VIPs? (Like howard stark)
"I know he was brainwashed but he has shown that he can be triggered again. And just not a good path for marvel to put an otherwise interesting character on imo…"
"I have no idea why they needed to give Bucky a cameo," one viewer wrote. "For years, we have been begging for the MCU to properly include other heroes where it obviously would make the most sense in these massive conflicts......so we get Bucky and even Betty.....but no Bruce?"
Another fan was disappointed by the movie but felt the cameo was a nice touch, writing: "I tried to like it but it was just so meh, truly mid. Every single cool shot or moment was in the trailers. I feel like the only reveals were, one: Bucky, which was anticlimactic but one of the only decently written scenes in the movie."

Other fans praised the inclusion of Bucky, with one Reddit user writing: "I also felt like the cameo appearances felt natural. Bucky Barnes visits to the hospital is nicely done, since Bucky, Sam, and Joaquin worked together on the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier."
"The Bucky cameo was great. I really love Sam and Bucky's chemistry. That 5 min scene just shows it," one fan commented.
